Contaminated Land & Groundwater investigation and remediation

Alex Dudkowski has over 10 years' experience in the assessment and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, and is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) from the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ). Alex has the necessary qualifications and experience in land contamination matters to undertake:

  • Site investigations and remediation;
  • Validation reports of successful remediation; and
  • Drafting of Site Management Plans for the management of contamination on a site.

Where the project scope is within his expertise, Alex can demonstrate he qualifies as a Suitably Qualified Person as defined in the Environmental Protection Act 1994 to allow submission of reports and plans to the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP).

Alex can provide an array of services in relation to soil and groundwater contamination, including:
Due diligence or pre-purchase assessment;
Design and implementation of appropriate remediation strategy (in-situ and/or ex-situ);
Site validation;
Removal of sites from the Environmental Management Register (EMR);
Site Management Plans;
Monitoring of groundwater;
Assist in the submission of waste disposal permit applications;
Assessment of potential acid sulfate soil; and
Liaison with authorities.

Alex has experience using a range of remedial techniques and is specialised in the management and remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminations. He also has experience with metals/heavy metals contamination, asbestos and other contaminants.

His experience is across sectors and industries, including service stations, fuel depots, commercial developments, industrial sites, residential sites and mine sites.
